Blog Post #3
I placed an order online for the first time and found it to be time consuming and frustrating. I would rather have placed the order over the phone. For the time that it took me to figure out the ordering process, I could have already placed my order in the store. Having the pizza delivered was more convenient but the kids became a little impatient waiting for it. It only took 25 minutes so that wasn't bad. I was excited about being able to place the order online but it wasn't as easy as I thought. It was slightly confusing because I have never had to make so many decisions when ordering a pizza. Usually when I go into the store or place a delivery order by phone, I'm not asked about all the various cheeses and sauces. Some of which were confusing and neither indicated what the standard items were. I had to guess. I believe this process took longer than that in the store because the cashier just gave me what I wanted without asking extra question that would confuse and frustrate me. I do think having a variety of toppings, cheeses and sauces to choose from is nice but it was a little too much for me. I had to use more brain cells than I actually wanted to when ordering a pizza. I don't believe eating pizza is completely healthy but I was careful to try and order things that weren't so high in calories and fat.

Health and Wellness
Health and Wellness are very important to me. My extended family has a history of diabetes and high blood pressure so I have decided to take better care of myself. I have smarted eating heathier by decrease the amount of fried foods, fast food and sweets that I consume. I also check the labels of items before I purchase the to see the numbers of calories contained. If the calorie count is over 200, I'm not buying it. I have also started to include more fruits and vegtables in my diet. I have also started taking snacks like grapes, oranges, light yogurt to work in place of vending machine snacks. I have started taking cardio kickboxing classes twice a week and I monitor my weight weekly with a digital scale. My philosophy is that we are as healthy as the foods that we eat. Making these changes has allowed me to loose a few pounds, have more energy and feel healthier all around.
Dominoc Assignment
My 16 year old daughter and I went to the Domino location on Hwy 85 in Riverdale. It was about 8pm on Friday night so traffic on the way there was pretty heavy on hwy 85. When we pulled into the parking lot, I noticed that there wasn't many parking spaces available. As I approached the store, I noticed their hours of operation posted, the open sign was brightly lit and I could see the store phone number and an advertisement of their $9.99 special. I also saw two customers standing at the counter along with two employees. One of the employees was assisting the two customers and the other was taking a phone order. I noticed no one recognized me right away by saying hello like some other restaurants. I proceeded to look around the store and noticed that it was clean and well organized. The signage was clear and the menus were clear and I was able to make a decision of what I wanted from them. I observed that the cashier assisting the customers was very friendly and helpful. He suggested things that would save the customer some money. I felt that this was a friendly atmosphere and the people there cared about the customers. I placed my order for a large pizza with 4 toppings. I got italian sausage, ham, chicken, and pepperoni. After paying, I was told that it would be 15 minutes. I thought the wait time was too long because I have gotten it faster in prior trips but I realized that the store was pretty busy and that is why it was taking so long. After my order came up, my name was called and I was given my order. I was surprised that the cashier didn't open the box so that I could view the pizza before leaving because other restaurants do that. The pizza was hot and had a good smell. I took the pizza to my mom's house to share with my nieces and nephews. It's spring break and we were celebrating. The kids and I enjoyed the pizza. I took the chicken off of mine because the strips were too large and they didn't taste good. The pizza looked tasty after I removed the chicken. My 16 year old enjoyed the entire pizza with all the toppings. I thought the $9.99 deal was a good one for four toppings. This location is small and well lit so it was hard to take photos but i got as many as i could while being discrete. my five and one year olds also enjoyed the pizza but they only ain't the italian sausage.
